This sweet looking scorpion fish was about 9 inches long, smaller than most scorpion fish I've seen. Though having poisonous tips on its dorsal fin it caught my heart.
I spent considerable time near it photographing the rather rare Ornate Ghost Pipefish who kept turning its back to me or hiding behind a branch of soft coral. Underwater photographers sometimes put one fingertip carefully on the reef to stabilize. This sweet looking scorpion fish was right where I wanted to put my finger. Not a good idea!
