A Pair of Gobies

A Pair of Gobies - Indonesia, 2008

These two shrimp gobies were each about 4 inches long. This type of goby usually shares a burrow with a shrimp that digs and maintains the "home" where they have a symbiotic relationship. The goby's duty is to warn the shrimp of outside danger. I didn't see evidence of a shrimp in this case.

The maximum size of this image is 7 x 10 inches.
