Blue Christmas Tree Filaments - Indonesia, 2007
This image, like Right Angle Christmas Tree Filament, is named for the spiraling shape of the two parts of the feeding apparatus of a single sea worm. The "trees" are about 1 ¼ inches and they come in a variety of colors. As in Feather Duster and Swirling Filament, the worm part of the organism is embedded in the sand.
