Red and White Fan Scene - Thailand, 2006
This expansive sea fan was about 8 feet across. At its base is a small grouper or coney. These large fans feed on the nutrients from the currents. The juxtaposition of the soft coral fan against the hard coral structure in the background adds strength to this image. Please also see Yellow Fan and Silversides.
