Anthias over Hard Corals

Anthias over Hard Corals - Fiji, 2006

Here the swarm of anthias fish are really bouncing off the reef. They always add a feeling of joy to an image. The orange females are most predominant; the purple male has its harem. When the male of the species dies the largest female becomes a male. The anthias are swimming over mostly staghorn corals. Like the Garden of Eden images, this is part of my new interest in hard coral scenes near the surface.

The image is available up to 13 x 20 inches.
