Orange and White Soft Coral - Indonesia, 2008
The "stem" of this soft coral was strong and somewhat ridged like the sea fans. You can see here the delicate white feeding tentacles or filaments. I see this image as one of strength and delicacy like so much of the undersea world. See also Yellow Fan and Silversides.
